Meet the Doctors & Staff at IPM Joliet
New Lenox chiropractor Dr. Jon M. Polcyn is a co-owner, clinic director, and is a treating physician at the IPM Joliet office.
Dr. Jon received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in PreMed Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He obtained a second bachelors in Human Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences located in Lombard, Illinois in 2005.
Dr. Jon has done done extensive postgraduate training in orthopedics, sports medicine, rehabilitation, kinesiotaping, soft-tissue mobilization and management. He is a firm believer in combining chiropractic and rehabilitation to provide rapid pain alleviation that also can be maintained by the patient long after in office care has ceased.
Dr. Jon is the acting team physician for the Illinois Hawks.
Dr. Jon is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys camping, hiking, boating, skiing, fishing, hunting, and just about any outdoor activities.
New Lenox chiropractor Dr. Scott J. Kenny is a co-owner and a treating physician at the IPM New Lenox office.
Dr. Scott received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and a Chemistry minor from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He then obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic and second Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Biology from National University of Health Sciences located in Lombard, Illinois in 2004.
While attending Loras College, Dr. Scott was a member of a NCAA nationally ranked wrestling team. Since that time, and while practicing at a past clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada, he taught classes in Phlebotomy, Anatomy and Physiology, and Kinesiology.
He is the acting sports team physician for many local youth sports (football, wrestling, rugby). Dr. Scott is listed on the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP) Concussion Registry as a healthcare provider who has successfully completed the ACBSP Concussion Registry Course (Concussion Course) and is therefore qualified to evaluate, diagnose, and manage concussed individuals in any patient population. He is also a certified body fat assessor through the IHSA and therefore able to test and assist Illinois high school wrestlers in safe and healthy weight loss.
Dr. Scott has also achieved post graduate certifications as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), a National Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and as a Fellow, International Academy Medical Acupuncture (FIAMA). He has also taken multiple courses in dry needling, kinesiology taping, and he has started three year post graduate Diplomate programs in Sports and Orthopaedics.
He has a daughter named Sienna and son named Knox. His hobbies include nutrition, CrossFit, weight training, exercise, and wrestling.
Heather Polcyn is the Office Manager at the IPM Joliet office. Heather graduated with a bachelor's of
arts in Communications from North Central College in 2003. Heather has extensive experience in customer service, bookkeeping, marketing and management.
Heather loves to spend her extra time with her two sons Gavin and Hunter. Heather and Dr. Jon both love to travel, cook, attend concerts, off-road, hike, fish, boat and simple be with friends and family.
Heather currently manages all three IPM locations.
Angela Michals joined the IPM team in February of 2015 as the Front Desk Patient Coordinator. She has since been promoted to full time office manager
She is responsible for daily operations and administrative tasks. Angela resides in New Lenox and is a 2010 graduate from Lincoln Way Central. She started off at JJC taking classes for accounting. Prior to joining IPM’s team, Angela was a receptionist at a pediatrician’s office right out of high school. While working at the pediatrician's office, she also worked at Midwestern University in the Payroll Department doing clerical work.
In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and friends, watch movies, attend country concerts and stay active outdoors.
Katie Purvis joined the team in November 2017 as the Front Desk Patient Coordinator. She recently moved to Minooka and loves to spend her free time running, playing soccer and being around family and friends. She was valedictorian in her class at Everest College where she got her degree in Medical Administrative Assistant.
Ariana Camacho joined IPM Joliet in February 2016. She is currently the Therapy Bay Manager where she is in charge of day to day operations in the bay assisting patients with rehab, documenting progress and working side by side with the clinic director to establish appropriate therapy goals.
Rachel Stukenberg is one of the highly trained Chiropractic Assistants at IPM Joliet. Rachel joined the team in November of 2016 and assists in all aspects of patient care including guiding patients through rehab program, physiotherapy techniques for pain management and tissue healing and documenting patients' evaluations and progress. . Rachel graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Art from the American Academy of Art of Chicago in 2013 has an extensive knowledge of human anatomy, sh hopes to go back to school one day to possibly pursue a masters in medical/scientific illustration.
Rachel spends her spare time painting and illustrating for various private individuals and companies. In the fall she loves working for Zombie Army Productions doing FX makeup and scenic painting. For physical activity she enjoys working out, long runs, and extreme mountain biking.
